Entrepreneurship

The key to success in having our own business is doing what we love! It is not enough just to find a money making adventure. We will never find the energy to keep things going when times are less certain. That energy comes from the passion that got us started and the unique value that only we can contribute.

Successful entrepreneurs:

  • Tap into the energy of their passion
  • Clarify their purpose and use it for direction
  • Test their assumptions to learn what works
  • Incorporate their learnings
  • Demonstrate their success for further investment

IN BUSINESS NOW - for youth

Teenagers these days ask; "Is there any other possibility for me other than a 'McJob'? What if I don't know what I want to do with my life yet? Do I have to follow in my parent's footsteps? Am I too young to make a difference?"

Young people look to define themselves by what they see outside of themselves. They are often pushed to conform and fit in to what society says 'success' looks like. Little time or direction is dedicated to help them look in side themselves. From the inside, youth can discover and utilize their unique passions and interest along with their capacity to give.

As part of a team or as a single business owner, youth 12-18 years old get a chance to make a profit doing what they love while contributing to some type of community improvement. In addition to learning and using basic business principles, participants will have an experience of being valued for who they uniquely are.  They will learn new ways they fit in to the world and get a chance to be a leader in their own lives while contributing to the lives of others.

PURPOSE TO PROFIT - for adults

Why work for ourselves and become an entrepreneur? Many of us have spent years and years working for someone else or have found little meaning in what we do. We wonder if it would be more fun working for ourselves and if there is a way to make a difference while we're at it. Some of us may be going through a transition in life, and others are ready to finally use all that creativity. We can make a profit doing what we enjoy and be on 'purpose' at the same time. The hold that our fears and limiting beliefs have had can be broken as we move forward towards our dreams.

  • If you are not sure of your passion and purpose, we can help you get clear about what it is and how to focus it into a business you will enjoy and contributes to others.
  • If you know what you want to create and just haven't gotten into action yet, our step by step approach will help you gain the clarity and support  needed to prove your concept and get additional dollars to move forward.

Participants get a chance to define their business idea in terms that will help it move forward. This includes a focus on purpose, strengths, and preferences. Seed money is available to support business 'prototypes' that test assumptions and prove that the business idea/concept works. Expert guidance is provided during and after prototyping to insure that a solid business plan is ready to be used to get investment/business loan dollars.
